Diptantic, the elf sorcerer who’s voracious reading lends him knowledge of ancient magic. And Maybelle, the Bars who uplifts her companions and foes in song and dance, also charming the characters they come across with her cuteness. And of course, Ford’s research partner, Dr. Mittens, has his own place next to him, and Ford gives him his own character sheets, too! Dipper sometimes finds it awkward talking to a stuffed cat, but his Grunkle Ford is having fun, and his characters are pretty funny, plus it just makes Mabel and Stan more open to playing, and DDMD is better with more players.

Both Ford and Mabel are pretty creative, and Ford’s more inclined to her type of creativity when he’s little, and she loves making necklaces and bracelets with her little Grunkle! He’s not allowed to knit or crochet when he’s little, but he can still have some input on her designs and colors, he even helped her make their family sweaters! When they presented the sweaters to Stan and Dipper, Stan smiled so brightly, hugging Ford to his chest. Admittedly, Stan’s actions were more due to the happiness and exuberance on Ford’s face as he held up two orange sweaters with boats on them, one for each of them. Mabel’s really helped Ford become more confident in himself when Little. Little Ford does take a lead out of Mabel’s notebook when it comes to sweater town. Sometimes, when he gets bad thoughts about Bill, dimension hopping, or about missing Stan for 40 years, he’ll go find Stan, curl up in the biggest and baggiest sweater he has, plop down in his lap and just stay silent. When this happens, Stan knows that his Poindexter needs some quiet time, and he’ll let Mabel and Dipper know if they’re around, just so they know they’re not being ignored, but just that it’s sweater town time.

Lee’s younger than Ford when regressed, so he can’t play complicated games with Dipper, not that he would when big let’s be real, but that does make it harder for Dipper to find things to do with his Littlest Grunkle. Dipper very quickly finds out that as long as he’s near you, Lee is fine doing literally anything. Coloring, playing with blocks, watching TV, doesn’t matter, just so he’s not alone. Dipper does like doing legos with Lee, though maybe not much how easy and childish they are, but both him and Lee like creating things other than the set out of the Lego bricks. Lee’ll draw pictures of Dipper, of him and Dipper, and give them to him to express his happiness at hanging out with him. Dipper tries to stutter and act aloof, but he’s fooling no one with that blush, try to hide it as he may. Hanging out with Lee is honestly a much needed break for Dipper, too. He has time to just write down in his journal or read a book with minimal distractions, so if he needs some quiet time when his Grunkle is little, he knows he can find it with Lee.

As mentioned before, Mabel and Lee have tea parties with Ford and Lee’s stuffies, spreading the hot gossip going around town. Ford wishes everytime Lee and Mabel hung out could be that cute and quiet. Alas, they are both too mischevious for their own good. He can’t tell who rope who into planting glitter attacks around corners, or why Lee would drink Mabel juice, knowing what he knows about it. He’s just thankful that they both follow the rules of “No Cooking/Oven use without an adult” (and “No Stan doesn’t count as an adult when he’s little, Mabel, that’s not how this works.”). Lee is usually really good about following rules. Too good, Ford doesn’t like it when Lee is too scared to break the rules because he fears getting punished or abandoned, curse their father (and curse myself too!), which is why he’s grateful Mabel gets him to break some rules. The ones that won’t hurt anybody, well nobody important or too badly in any case, are fine, maybe getting a stern warning on not letting the surprise hurt people is the worst of it. Besides, more often than not, when found out, Ford joins Lee and Mabel in crafting a hiding away confetti pouches and sprinkle pits.

science was never really your thing. sure, your parents were some of the greatest scientists on pandora - helping the na’vi during the first war, studying the botany and the culture to preserve grace’s legacy, researching the anatomy and tradition medicine of the na’vi and pandora. you did think it was cool, but you just preferred more domesticated things. for example, you love reading old human books like pride and prejudice, frankenstein or the island of dr. moreau. baking, doing puzzles, arts & crafts - more specifically, crocheting. 

jake and neytiri were like your godparents, and you were very close to them. neytiri may have been a little cautious of you because you were human, alien - you always tried your best to be warm and loving to her. you loved their children - neteyam, kiri, tuk and even spider were like your brothers and sisters. lo’ak you loved more than a brother. although you had never outright told him that. little did you know, he felt the exact same way about you.

you had always heard of christmas, but had never experienced it. pandora’s calender was very different compared to earths, but you still wanted to have a christmas with your family despite it being in the middle of rainy season in july according to the earth’s calendar. every one had agreed to participate - even neytiri, who was secretly curious about this adored earth tradition. unsure of what to find for every member of the family, you figured you could put your creative skills to good use. the forest’s trees carried this multicoloured fibre, complete with different shades of red, orange and yellow. it was soft, almost like a blanket. it was the perfect yarn.

you crocheted until it felt like your hands were on fire. in the end, you had 6 matching scarves adorned with beads, warm glowing acorns and tassels. the sully’s were thrilled, but lo’ak specifically. he had something to wear, made from the love and thoughtful consideration you carried with everything you made by hand. it would keep him warm in the bitter cold of the air when he awoke in the hallelujah mountains, when he rode his ikran in the mighty winds, or when it would pour rain in the forest. he loved it.

as the second war with the RDA progressed, it was decided that the sully’s would flee to the ocean to protect the omatikaya clan. you had begged your parents to consider going with them - it would be a new biome to study. a new culture to learn. sandy beaches and the warm sun, which wouldn’t be blocked by the tall trees. eventually they agreed, asking jake for his permission to come - which he happily agreed to. it wasn’t long before you had made it to your new home.

just like the sully’s, you were considered outcasts but more because you were human. one of the skypeople. but it was a change of scenery and your parents were having a blast with all of their newfound research. even with the heat, lo’ak never took off his scarf. it was sacred to him because it came from you. the kids of the metkayina clan - ao’nung, rotxo more specifically would always tease him about his scarf. “it’s ugly.” “did the human freak make it for you?” “oh no! you have a piece of garbage wrapped around your neck. let me help you with that.” he didn’t hesitate to defend you or what you had made for him. he had even taken and thrown a couple of hits defending you. 

learning an entirely new culture wasn’t easy, but you were glad you had lo’ak and your siblings by your side. made the process more fun. they taught you the breathing exercises you would need to swim, but you stayed away from the water as much as you could. you stayed on the island, crafting baskets and nets with other members of the metkayina clan, teaching them new patterns to help fortify their hunting and fishing tools using your crocheting skills. 

you had always loved sunsets. but you loved them more with lo’ak. he had always tried to convince you to come swim, but to no avail. as you walked with him on the beach during a quiet evening, he was finally able to convince you to come take a tour with him. “really?? you would do that for me?” “of course, anything for you. but only because you’re cute.” he almost kissed you right then and there.

he woke you up early the next morning to get you into the water before anyone else had the chance to join you. it was unlike anything you had ever seen before - the gigantic manta rays, the glowing coral, the fish, the plant life, the crabs, everything. but while you were fixated on the beautiful things the ocean had to offer, he was staring at you.

I've seen your scripts and they are SO long and SO detailed and SO cute, so...

Do you ever deal with the feeling that you are wasting your time on something worthless?? I know maybe it's dumb but I go through that when I script and it makes me feel so bad that it makes me want to give up and never hear about shifting again... but I don't want to do it, I love shifting and I love scripting.

I don't want to make you feel obligated, but if you could give me some advice or encouragement I would greatly appreciate it.

I totally get that feeling where you’re scripting and you suddenly just feel like:

“am i wasting my time on something that I won’t be able to experience?”

“Is shifting even real? Why do this if it isn’t?”

But I always get brought back to the fact that I enjoy scripting. I enjoy scripting to the point where even if shifting isn’t real, I don’t really care if I can’t use the script bc it’s just fun to make. It’s become like a hobby to me. Also like scripts are so pretty 😭 Going through a completed script is always refreshing for me idk why

Did you know that non-shifters actually have used shifting script templates too? I’ve seen it in a few comments sections on TikTok, if I find more people I’ll put them here:

Non-shifters don’t shift, do they? Why do some of them fill out script templates then? Because it’s fun!

Think of scripting as a hobby like journaling or scrapbooking, and ignore people that say “don’t script your DR like a book” because ultimately, those people are boring asf.

Ah, but let’s say you haven’t touched your script in a while, but you really want to finish it. You’ve got no motivation to. Imagine yourself with all the things you want in that DR and continue filling out that script. Though, it’s important to note that you don’t have to completely fill out a script for it to be ‘complete’!

Bottom line is, scripting is fun. I genuinely would use scripts too if I wasn’t a shifter because it’s a creative hobby. If you’re doing something that makes you happy, is it really worthless?

If you're spending your time crocheting, you aren't wasting your time crocheting. You're doing it because it's fun and it makes you happy.

The Payne family: 15 years ago, Marielle Payne disappeared without a trace. Her parents and her brother Jonathan and his wife Clarice spent years searching for her, but it's been over a decade, and they've decided it's necessary for their daughter Hannah to have a normal life, since the chances Marielle will ever be found are astronomically small. Unbeknownst to them, she's not only alive but very much still hellbent on getting back home.

Melody: Recently kidnapped by the Gryphites Nemori, she's relieved to find a companion and protector in Marielle; and the friends she's made over the years.

Speaking of, let's do a quick breakdown of those:

We've got George, who's the sweetest little cinnamon roll and was born and raised within the organisation. Dr. Scott, who did not exactly picture his medical practice to go where it is now, but he does his best, Annie the sarcastic technician (gosh i love her), and Jamie, who's a spy and loves crochet. All but George did join the organisation free-willed but without knowing how bad they were and they have long decided they want out, especially since Marielle is there.

And then we have the man, the myth, the fucking asshole, Anomine. Obsessed with living forever (always a good sign), leader of what's basically a cult-like organisation (also very good sign and let me tell you, he may or may not have killed some people to get here and stay here) Love to hate this guy he's so evil lol

safe answer: Hedwig --- you still have your life and everything's fairly normal + you get a wealthy girlfriend who loves you so so much!! you'll never be alone (i have abandoment issues) but I'm a person who likes to be alone but not be lonely. I have an extremely low social battery, but I really like to be around my friends with my headphones doing my own thing, which makes Hedwig's attention horny ass a bit too much for me, if she learned how to shut the fuck up and give some space, she would be my entire answer <3

guilty pleasure answer(?): dr kry. He's calm, quiet, sweet and understanding. He never puts the blame on you (never ever thinks you can do anything wrong) and always give you the benefit of the doubt. Minus point, however, is how absolutely HORRID you feel when you're with him. It's like you're on the brink of death. BUT you can do your own things like drawing, writing, reading, crocheting, knitting, listening to music etc which is a plus.

But, I think I would rather deal with Hedwig's clingy ass rather than slowly dying by Dr Kry's poison <333 .... i just want to try be his darling for like six months

Some Wizarding jobs ideas for Harry Potter Shifters

Because life doesn’t stop after hogwarts.

I have finally figured out what i want to do after hogwarts in my Dr. In honor to that, i wanted to share a few ideas i considered before deciding.

If there is any Harry Potter shifters here, i would love to hear your own careers ideas 🙏

My main issue with most of these jobs is that my so is Charlie Weasley who lives in Romania and there is no way i would go between this man and his dragons. I wanted to be able to live with him and still be working.

Seer tea shop

I have a big interest in divination and do tarot, so i like to script I’m a seer and that what i learn about divination in my dr helps me in my practice in my cr. I imagined there could be a tea shop where seers are invited to do readings while the clients are enjoying their beverages and sweets. (and of course get tea leaves reading)

This is my favourite out of all my ideas, that’s probably what i would have settled on if i wasn’t planning on living in Romania.

Healer

Self explanatory, this could be at the wizard hospital St.Mungo. I, of course, imagined becoming a healer at the dragon reserve.

My fear with this is how emotionally draining this type of jobs can be. I don’t personally think i could handle it at the moment, and that’s my own limitations talking.

Herbologist

If you like gardening, you might consider growing magical plants for magical ingredients. This is what my Dr mom is doing, i thought i might follow her steps, ended up choosing something else.

Stylist wizard / Designer

I also have a Shining Nikki Dr where i am a designer and still it almost slipped my mind i had this idea. This one is inspired by one of my favourite Hogwarts mystery character Andre Egwu, stylist wizard !

I love this idea because i imagine haute-couture in the wizarding world to be using magic to enhance the designs. With embroidery who moves on the fabric, or literal magic effects around the dress.

Also, in the books, wizards are described as dressing completely differently than muggles and i love to see fan arts that imagine what modern wizards fashion would look like.

WandMaker

That’s what i decided i want to do. I’m an artist and love to pick up all kinds of crafts. I do bookbinding, macrame, crochet…Woodworking is something that has been in my mind for sometime and how cool would it be to make wands that actually do magic ? Also since i am an artist in my Cr, it’s easier for me to project myself in a manual work.

I also would love to make fun magic items with my other skills. I had this idea of creating what i call “twin journals” Where what’s written inside one of the journals is replicated in the other, so it would be useful instead of owls for long distance. I know some shifters have this kind of objects scripted for their so and them, but i like the idea of being the one creating it.

You might think it wouldn’t work for me as i would need a shop to sell those wands, but i figured i could still sell them in Romania. Ollivander is big competition anyway. I think i could also arrange to have my products send to shops.

I found this on Pinterest, for more ideas and infos. This is how i am just finding out that i need arithmancy for wand making. I’m shifting to after hogwarts so i know i would not have to attend class, but still, i don’t want to give up divination.

For the sake of transparency, I want to give both a heads-up and offer an apology of sorts while I'm currently thinking through a few things.

[TL;DR: Three of the four people waiting on the requests they sent in for my follower event may or may not be waiting even longer if I decide to register as a seller for a local art show in late November.]

To start, I am so sorry that this whole thing is all hinged on a "maybe" as of right now. But I would hate to leave people unaware of what's going on when I feel like this is maybe something you all should or might be interested in knowing.

A few weeks ago, my ability to focus was becoming far, far worse than usual. (It's never been great, to be completely honest...) Around that time, I gave a warning to those waiting on request fics as a part of my 200 Follower Event that things may take a longer time to write until I could address the situation with my psychiatrist (and likely for a while after as well).

Part of the plan was to do an assessment for ADD/ADHD, and to keep the post as short as possible, the outcome of the assessment matched some gut feelings. I'm now taking medication that's making it easier to focus on the things I'm trying to do, again. I'm still "settling in", but making progress in the right direction at least and juggling things with a little more ease.

I'm no longer hard-stuck on focusing on one—and only one—thing at a time. Which brings me to the other part of why I'm making this post.

I mentioned once towards the beginning of October that I was working on selling some crochet pumpkins I've been making over the past year through Facebook. Happy to say I've gotten a lot of interest and made a few sales since then!

This past weekend, a friend of a friend told me about an event taking place at the end of the month where I could sell what I've made, and I'm seriously considering jumping on it. I could potentially make a lot of sales at this art show, which makes it an incredibly tempting opportunity.

So I want to apologize ahead of time to the people who are still waiting on their requested fics. One fic will be finished not too long from now with any luck, but there's a good chance that three of you might have to wait a lot longer than I ever anticipated, if I go through with this opportunity.

I am really, really sorry it's taking me so long as it is... These are my highest priority writing WIPs, and I promise that I still fully intend to do them. I'm just not sure how much time I'd be able to dedicate to them while completing any prep-work for the event if I sign up, and I don't wish to leave anyone completely in the dark.

In the event I have decided to sign up, I'll be sure to let you all know in the interest of maintaining transparency.

Lilia

I firmly believe that he would have a Mountian Dew addiction- sure I think other sodas are possible too like Dr. Pepper but there’s this “dad clock” that has haunted every divorced father I’ve met and it’s a Mountain Dew clock and it always hangs on the wall where the kitchen meets the dinning table. Don’t ask me why it’s a trend in my life that’s between me and my therapist but I feel that Lilia would probably own one in his gamer room.

Speaking of which he’s got a damn gammer room. I’ve admittedly been out of the loop event and plot wise since the release of ignihide’s chapter (I can not spell forgive my dyslexic ass), but it doesn’t matter if it’s just his bedroom, a whole separate room, a streaming room or not. It has a fancy custom built pc, one that lights up and the whole room is themed to match. It’s very well put together and could probably pay my college tuition with the merchandise he may collect.

I personally think that since Lilia is so old, he tends to hoard things. It obviously snuck into my fic Ring of Mushrooms with just the whole house being a cluttered mess of history. Some of it is me trying not to be a hoarder myself but living nicknack because I am just a bird in a human shape, but he just has a lot of things he forgets about.

Call it time blindness, forgetfulness, or sentimentality but he just keeps pictures, books, gifts, random things his sons have drug into the house or stuffed into their pockets. He has jars of buttons that Malleus collected as a toddler, the shiny rocks Silver picked up by the stream, he’s the type of guy to have a full box of the same pencil because it’s his favorite and there was a rumor it was being discontinued.

I also think that he has a soft spot for pinks and pastels especially when the boys were young. Mint/sage greens were a common choice for blankets, hats, and mittens. He also probably color coded the boys. It doesn’t matter if they were the same age or not just for ease and avoiding fights he totally did.

Lilia probably has a bunch of abandoned hobbies. Things he did long enough to have a humans level of decent but not great. if he were to “relearn” it he would appear to be a savant to a real beginner. Some of these hobbies include: Calligraphy, Crochet, Knitting, Fish lure making, Astronomy, Woodworking

Hobbies he would be bad at:

Drawing/Painting, he has a bad understanding of color but a great eye for depth and detail. The forms are always very off putting though.

He tried birdwatching he isn’t bad at it per se, but he often gets interrupted or caught up in something that is not the birds.

He wanted to do quilting and scapbooking, it’s not that he can’t do them either but he always forgets the projects. The scrapbooks mostly the quilts he has a lot more practice with as baby shower gifts for neighbors and for his own kids. Yet his stiches can be sloppy same with the binding.

He has a fondness for spinel gems he likes the wide array of colors like most gems but he likes a lot of the vibrant pinks they come in

Malleus

I think malleus would have a habit of forgetting to eat if not reminded or brought food. I cannot explain why I think this I just have a hunch.

I think Malleus is great at word puzzles and puzzles in general, it’s not inherently that he’s super smart but he just knows patterns more often than not. However he is quite horrible at pop culture references and trivia. For example he is good at Wordle, Sudoku, crosswords, and connections, but since crosswords and connections often have pop culture references those are the ones he struggles with most.

When he was young he collected things. I mean a lot of things, buttons, pins, rocks, pinecones, leaves, he pressed and dried flowers, half of his room was just wall-to-wall collections. This continued on until now but it’s just gotten more mild, though it flares up during stressful times.

He’s very good at quilting if I had to assign a good trade themed hobby. I’m open to other needle crafts like embroidery or cross-stitch but I think quilting is something that gets done during school breaks and he often sews in former button collections to them.

I think he has an aversion to some kind of food, whether it be things like a texture like he doesn’t like the feeling of bananas or the taste of pees makes him nauseous. I don’t think it’s an allergy or anything just something that physically makes him feel like death is the only solution to the minor inconvenience.

He’s a peridot guy sure emeralds work too but if he’s being honest the peridots are cuter

Silver

One time he had a talking to about throwing sand. He was only three at the time but it had to be revisited after an incident with an ant hill when he was four.

He sleeps in a funeral-showing sort of way. His hands clasped on his chest while he lays on his back. He rarely moves in his sleep, but cheese can cause him to sleep walk.

Speaking of which he has a mild lactose intolerance. He doesn’t care to actively avoid dairy but he often forgets he has it. On many occasions he has eaten too much dairy and was genuinely confused by the way he was having tummy troubles.

He cries at weddings.

He doesn’t cry at funerals.

Silver has this hobby of wanting to bird hunt but falls asleep too often. He does however have some half okay drawing skills. Enough to have an upper hand in Pictionary maybe but a good hand on proportions and the details are messy but it works.

He has a fondness for pearls it’s the type of jewelry he thinks is the most beautiful.

friday recap! i did not do my 3 academic tasks on thursday night as i idealized lol; instead i took a nap, went to a review session for micro, and then went home and used the schedule builder to plan possible schedules for next semester! i'm very happy with the options–only taking three classes instead of four or more and not having choir really makes things so much simpler.

(i do not want to discuss the exam i had yesterday morning hehe.)

when i choose to be outside on off days, i’m usually café hopping with khlöe, taking a walk with danielle, or shopping with hyein !! but when we’re off & i feel like staying home, i’ll either sew / crochet, or plan my outfits & organize my bedroom!

also, since i have such a strong connection (& a sense of separation anxiety) with my fandom, there are days where i’ll do 2-3 hour long lives in my bedroom, just yapping with my fans over nothing in particular

this was hard to answer because i love to do everything !!

oouuu… 😭😭 well, if i’m telling the truth, it’s actually hokazono iroha (iroha from ill-it) !! i spun a wheel of idols born in my age range & wrote a backstory for them JAJSWDJSJ

for context, my boyfriend is the son of a globally known japanese rockstar, & so he has an aesthetic similar to that of his father — your mysterious boy-next-door, but make it emo & a little badass :p

iroha grew up idolizing his father & his band, so when she discovered he had a son – one that’s both in her age range AND under the same company as her, she obviously said #needthat

but obviously, he has a girlfriend (me !! 😊), so she doesn’t really like me for that reason.. it’s sort of unserious because the three of us work in the same company building, + if we include the ador / belift conflict (bf & i are under ador, iroha is under belift)
